Starting in mid-May, the Dover Township road crew spent their summer completing various roadside projects throughout the township.
Logging more than 540 man-hours mowing alongside roadways, the three-man crew also mowed all five township cemeteries weekly. This was the first year that the crew added cemetery mowing to their duties.
Six miles of roadways were resurfaced with chip and seal, and one mile was paved. The crew also patched holes and maintained roads throughout the township.
Additional summer projects included replacing several culverts, cleaning several miles of ditches, maintaining all equipment in-house, and preparing for winter.
The Dover Township road crew is comprised of Road Superintendent Doug Kendle, Steve Miller, and Terry Steele.
