Dining with Diabetes is a nutrition education program and cooking school for people with diabetes and their family members or caregivers. Each session includes a lesson about diabetes management and food planning, food demonstrations and tasting, and a guest speaker.
Dining with Diabetes is presented by local Ohio State University Extension staff, Chris Kendle and Linda Krupa, both Registered Dietitians, and Susan Morris, Registered Dietitian and Certified Diabetes Educator.
This series of meetings will be held November 29, December 6, and December 13, 2010, from 6:30 to 8:30 PM at the Broadway United Methodist Church, 120 Church Avenue SE, New Philadelphia. Cost is $18 per person or $30 per couple (person with diabetes and spouse or another caregiver) – this covers three sessions, materials, food sampling, and a 3 month reunion class. Registration deadline is November 22, 2010.
