Road crew prepares for winter weather

While residents are enjoying fall, the three-man Dover township road crew is preparing for winter with the first delivery of the township’s road salt arriving in October.

Township officials currently have a standing order for 900 tons of road salt to be added to the salt bins this winter. The township’s more than 50-miles of roadways were covered with 1,000 tons of salt in 2013: 150 tons of salt remain on-hand from the 2013 winter season.

Please be both patient and alert this winter as our crew plows and salts the roadways.
